The Annual Gala is the Boston Public Library Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year. Vision was asked to design the invitation package for three years running. Our approach this time was to go with a simple, understated design that unfolded in three steps revealing a quote from Oliver Wendall Holmes - a major champion of the concept of public libraries. The repeating cloister element was taken from a wrought iron gate found in the library's main branch, designed by architect Charles Follen McKim.
